WHEN THE JOB MARKET IS TOUGH, FOCUS ON THIS

Your mindset and silent thoughts have a huge impact on your job search success.

Consider these 2 clients of mine:

Client 1 emailed me early in the morning:

"Shub, it is a very tough market. I feel there is no point in doing the job search. Ultimately, there is just not enough job"

Client 2 (who also needs a Visa sponsorship, btw):

"Shub, I reached out to 5 different people in manufacturing last week. I know the market is tough but I am following your advice - if there is one suitable job for me, I want to be considered for it"

When the market is tough, you can choose inaction! 

And when the market gets better, people who had already been taking action will be miles ahead!

I love this particular quote from James Clear:

 "My personal rule is that it's a good idea to be patient as long as I'm in the mix.

If I'm taking action, putting in my reps, and trying things out, then I should remain patient and see what opportunities arise. But if I'm not taking action consistently, then I'm not practicing patience. I'm just waiting." 

Applies in job search, applies in all areas of life...
