Well, you just may have been if you are not taking charge of your career..

I had a client "T" - very smart ambitious manager on fast growth..

His manager roped him to lead an APAC Business Transformation project.. He promised that if this project became successful, T's promotion would be a slam dunk..

Music to T's ears..

He worked extremely hard - sacrificing his evenings and weekends for months on end to make this possible...

The project was super successful to the extent that this regional project became the blueprint for other regions too...

And then came time to discuss promotions! 

"The market is tough and we are being very cautious in promotions. As soon as things get better, you will be the one to get it"

But guess what, T's manager got promoted! T thinks that his project's success had a lot to do with it... We may never know!
